Pina Albo
Chief Executive Officer, Hamilton Insurance Group

Pina Albo joined Hamilton Insurance Group as Chief Executive Officer in January 2018.

Pina began her career as a lawyer in Toronto, Canada. After practicing in real estate, corporate finance and M&A, she accepted a position at Munich Re as a claims expert. During her 25-year career at the Company, Pina held increasingly senior positions which included Head of Casualty Unit, North America/UK and International D&O/EPL; Head of Casualty Operations at Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada and Temple Insurance Company; Executive Head of Department UK and Ireland; President, National Clients Division, Munich Re America; and President, Reinsurance Division, Munich Reinsurance America. Pina’s most recent position at Munich Re was Member of the Board of Executive Management where her responsibilities have included P&C business and operations in Europe and Latin America.

Pina currently sits on the Board of Directors for the IFG Companies, Blue Marble Micronsurance and Attune Insurance. She also serves as an ambassador for the Insurance Supper Club, an international organization that aims to improve networking opportunities for women across the finance and insurance industries.‚Äč

Pina has been a member of many industry boards including the Board of the Insurance Information Institute, the Board of the Reinsurance Association of America and the National Board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

She has been recognized for her contributions to the insurance industry and has received numerous awards including the Association of Professional Insurance Women’s “Woman of the Year” (2011). She was designated a “Top Influencer” in Insurance Business America’s List of “Hot 100” (2014) and placed in Intelligent Insurer’s list of ‘Top 100 Women in Re/insurance” (2014 and 2015).

Pina holds the Maîtrise en Droit, International and European Community Law, from L’Université d’Aix-Marseille III, Aix-en-Provence, France; Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Canada; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Languages from the University of Winnipeg, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.


Steve Arora
CEO, Axis Re

Steve Arora joins AXIS from Swiss Re where he spent 18 years in a variety of senior positions, most recently as Head of Casualty Reinsurance and as a member of the Reinsurance Executive Committee.  He has held positions in New York, Munich, London, Tokyo and Zurich, and his expertise crosses Finance, Risk Management, Underwriting, and General Management.

In his most recent position as Global Head of Casualty at Swiss Re, Mr. Arora led a 250 person organization that spanned the Company’s global network of offices.  Previously he served as President and Managing Director of Swiss Re Japan, where he had oversight of the Company’s entire Japanese platform. 

Prior to that, he held senior-level positions in Swiss Re’s New York and Zurich offices where he led cross-functional global teams while building the Company’s engineering business unit and infrastructure across the U.S., Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean.  Mr. Arora began his career at GE Insurance Solutions where, prior to its acquisition by Swiss Re in 2006, he held positions across the Company’s Philadelphia, London and Munich offices.

Mr. Arora is a graduate of the GE Capital Financial Management Program, Swiss Re Management Development Program, and STARS Symposium for Leaders of the Next Generation.  Mr. Arora graduated from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.  He and his family will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.



Charles Goldie
CEO, Property & Casualty, PartnerRe

Mr. Goldie is a member of PartnerRe’s Group Executive Committee and is responsible for the executive management of PartnerRe’s Property and Casualty worldwide business segment.

Mr. Goldie has over 25 years of experience both as an actuary and as a reinsurance underwriting manager. He joined PartnerRe in 2002 as head of the U.S. Specialty Lines portfolio and in 2009 was named Head of Risk Management and Reserving for PartnerRe Global. Prior to joining PartnerRe, he worked for Gerling Global Reinsurance Corp of America as Head of Casualty Underwriting and for Milliman as a consulting actuary.

Mr. Goldie has a BSc in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.


James Nash
President, International Division, Guy Carpenter

As President of Guy Carpenter’s International Division, James is responsible for defining and executing strategic growth priorities in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America. James joined Guy Carpenter in 1985 after working for chartered accountants, Panell Kerr Foster, and has more than thirty years’ experience in the reinsurance industry. In 1999, he relocated from London to Asia, and was an integral part of the Regional Management team with responsibility for the Specialty Practices and the roll out of Guy Carpenter’s Analytical platform. In 2008, he assumed the position of CEO, Asia Pacific, and joined the firm’s Global Executive Committee.
